The continued growth surge in and around Austin has been driving up the cost of  land and single family homes. Building UP

You won't find very many single level garden patio homes built recently. Now it's all about going vertical - mostly 2-story townhomes, but sometimes floorplans are extended to 3 stories. You'll find that at any urban landscape, building up is always a solution. It costs less than building out because of the savings on land.

The townhomes at Shelley Heights in the historic Clarksville area of west Austin are an example of the three-story townhome in a boutique complex.
